I have been using Ares Galaxy as my primary file sharing program for almost a year. My verdict: I would recommend the program to anyone who is even remotely interested in sharing files over the Internet.
Ares Is The #1 Torrent Snatcher
My primary motivation for recommending Ares Galaxy is its bittorrent support. I have used many torrent programs over the last few years, including uTorrent and Azureus, but when I first used Ares Galaxy, I was amazed at how easy it was to get it to run just the way I want it.
My downloads are ultrafast and uploading is painless. And unlike some other clients I’ve tried, there aren’t any difficult menus to go through just to set up a connection. It’s simply a matter of installing the Ares free download and setting it up as the default program (which should happen automatically, but if it doesn’t, just right-click on a torrent file and select “Open with”).
Tons Of Features
Even though I don’t care much for some features myself (I never use the chat for example), the media player and radio station receiver that are built right into Ares Galaxy are amazingly useful. Gone are the days of having to run several programs at the same time just to do some simple things! Almost half of my Internet activity now happens entirely within Ares Galaxy and that’s thanks to the ease with which it plays everything I’ve downloaded, and more!
Easy On The CPU
Not everyone has a state-of-the-art computer with gigabytes of RAM and huge amounts of processing power. My PC is rather old and still runs Windows XP, and it’s extremely annoying to have to run multiple resource-intensive programs to perform basic file sharing functions.
With Ares Galaxy, I can combine a bittorrent client with a traditional P2P network, a library, a media player and a music station, and still have plenty of processing power to spare! In almost a year of use, it hasn’t crashed even once, and it’s on almost all the time.
It’s Free
Finally, the reason why I tried Ares Galaxy in the first place, and why you should as well: it’s free to try and free to keep! I first downloaded the program, thinking that it would be yet another case of unfulfilled promises, but here I am, 11 months later and still using it without ever having paid a dime. I guess it’s true what they say: some of the best things in life are free.
My Verdict
I’ve recommended Ares Galaxy to many of my friends, and have never heard any complaints. Ares does everything it promises to do and even more, and it’s so easy to use that even a baby could do it. But don’t take my word for it. Just download Ares for free from this website and give it a try yourself. I guarantee you that you won’t want to go back to any other file sharing program afterwards!
Two thumbs up for the Ares Galaxy team!
